一級方程式（F1）美國大獎賽後，Mercedes 車手 Kimi Antonelli（安東尼利）已接近提前奪得世界冠軍。Antonelli 在奧斯汀起步即領放，全程以一停策略控制戰局，最終以約 13 秒優勢勝出。報道指出，Antonelli 目前在車手榜領先約 123 分，餘下 5 站尚有 125 分可爭，他只要在墨西哥站再取 2 分，即約等於第 9 名的成績，便可提前封王。Max Verstappen（韋斯塔本）在美國站受引擎設定及無線電干擾影響，只能以兩停策略追至第 3 名；George Russell（羅素）則因駛離賽道獲利被罰 5 秒，最終只得第 8 名。
